chichi \SHEE-shee\, adjective:
Affectedly trendy.
From the French word that literally means "curl of false hair"; used figuratively in the phrases faire des chichis, "to have affected manners, to make a fuss"; and gens à chichis. Sometimes spelled "chi-chi."
