Party.
((if you're viewing this on Facebook, you might want to go to www.hannahmello.blogspot.com...the formating's hard to navigate through... it's easier in its original form...))
Tomorrow it will have been 3 months since my last blog posting.
I am having a party tonight. I might as well write why. :)
And, yes. That is a silly little picture of a 1950's child against a very strange background. Courtesy of Images.Google. Oh YES. ;)
In reality, most times:
- I don't want to Live; I'd rather be comfortable.
- I don't want to fight to Live a real & full Life; I'd rather react.
- I don't want to Live a shared Life; I'd rather keep it all for myself.
- I don't want to DO; I'd rather just dream-- and dream silently (so no one else knows what I don't act on).
- I don't want to communicate; I'd rather just feel and think my way into winning every argument.
- I don't want to understand; I'd rather judge and exclude subtly, subconsciously, and artfully.
- I don't want to be consistent; I'd rather go with "my own ebb and flow".
I'm having a party tonight because ... facing/confronting/combating all of those "I don't want's" and "I'd rathers" being WORTH IT. Challenge being WORTH IT.
The challenges of Living.
- Living and not just surviving
- Living and not just talking about it
- Living alongside others authentically
- Living as oneself; being true to one's deepest self (heck-- and first getting to know oneself! SUCH a prerequisite challenge, right?!)
- Living against all odds-- fighting the obstacles to Living fully and truly
- Living (HA, TRYING TO LIVE) like one has dreamed / observed in others-- but this time it's my life
AND LIVING HUMAN, still and of course and ALWAYS.
If you've been there and felt that, fought with and challenged all that--
then grab a party hat and party too. !! We're in this wacky journey together.
Let's party tonight because Living is worth all the work. :)
Yes. Living is worth all the work.

Thank you for that post Hannah. Living a life in-between finding my American self and now having to include this new Italian side is quite challenging...but WELL WORTH IT.
Yes. Living is worth all the work.
I think I needed to hear that, so thank you. Gotta go grab my party hat!
